Usher Blasts Chris Brown

Usher insists Chris Brown should show "a bit of remorse" following allegations he assaulted Rihanna.

The R'n'B singer made the comments after seeing photographs of Chris smiling on a jet ski while on holiday in Miami.

Referring to a leaked police picture which apparently shows Rihanna with a bruised and cut face following the altercation, Usher said: "I'm a little disappointed in this.

In the photographs, Chris is seen laughing in the sea and flexing his muscles.

Chris, 19, is accused of beating and choking Rihanna after they got into an argument in his rented silver Lamborghini on February 8.

He was charged with making criminal threats and released on $50,000 bail.

After initially separating, the couple are believed to have reconciled after holding crisis talks at P. Diddy's Miami home last weekend.

Although Rihanna has decided not to press charges, Los Angeles police have confirmed they are still investigating the case and have not handed it over to the district attorney.

Chris' arraignment hearing is currently scheduled for tomorrow (05.03.09)

Brad Pitt's Edge-y Role

U2 want Brad Pitt to star in a movie about their lives.

The band's guitarist The Edge thinks the Hollywood hunk would be the perfect person to portray him if a film about the Irish group was ever made.

Edge, 47, said: "We'd want it to be realistic, we don't want the usual things, so Brad Pitt would play me. We want to be realistic, you know, you don't want to do the Hollywood thing."

Bono thinks only an Oscar winner could do him justice on the big screen.

He joked to British radio presenter Christian O'Connell: "Yes, I would say... who's another tall, skinny Irishman? Daniel Day Lewis would play me."

The band - who released their twelfth album 'No Line on the Horizon' last week - also admitted they have come close to splitting on several occasions since they formed in the 70s.

Bono, 48, believes the band - which also includes drummer Larry Mullen Jr. and Adam Clayton - hit a bad patch "every few years".

Edge confessed: "I do this thing probably about once every 10 years where I go OK, that's it, I've had enough."

Mariah Carey has been visiting a fertility clinic.

The 38-year-old singer and her husband Nick Cannon - who married last year following a whirlwind romance - were seen leaving a Beverly Hills' Southern California Reproductive Center last week, where they reportedly met with a prenatal specialist.

Nick and Mariah are trying anything and everything to conceive. After almost a year of trying to natural way, they visited a fertility clinic to help make their baby dream come true.

Mariah is said to be desperate to give birth before she turns 40 next March.

The renowned centre is one of the leading in vitro fertilisation (IVF) clinics in California.

Jennifer Lopez - who has one-year-old twins Max and Emme - is said to have been a previous patient.

The couple have made no secret of their desire to start a family, with Nick admitting he wants a large brood.

He said: "We'll multiply. That's what's got to happen."

Mariah has also revealed she is ready to become a mother, but finds the constant speculation about whether she is expecting tiresome.

She said: "I don't like to talk about it too much. I just think about it as the next phase. We'll see.

"I've changed my mind about becoming a mother because I'm with 'The One'. I think we would make good parents, and that we'd be able to figure out how to do it properly."
